In the UK this would be very close to a Diachrysia (Burnished Brass) but here in Western Madagascar we've no idea what it might be. It had a body approximately 20mm long, wings a sort of embossed gold and the head, rather than being furry as would be usual in the UK, appears to be a solid lump with the eyes buried beneath the nose-like protruberance, underneath the antennae. A really beautiful creature when examined close-up.
