The smaller leaves do not look like the large ones I've seen but this could be Ricinus Communis, a deadly plant that can be used to create a deadly poison. A poison so deadly that most people dumb enough to try end up dead themselves. Or maybe this is just Bullthistle.

Skunk was inactive, possibly hibernating or playing "possum". Watched it for 20 minutes and it didn't move a muscle in that entire time. Fascinating creatures.
