In order to make it easier to hear (?), I created a loop of a short section where it "stands out". If you listen to the second recording, you hear an ~4 second loop repeated.
At around 2 seconds and then 3.5 seconds you can most easily hear the Plains Spadefoot.
So 2 sec, 3.5 sec then 6 sec and 7.5 sec, then again at 10 and 11.5 seconds etc.
Don't know if that helps?

I called this a couchi in the field, but looking back I'm not 100%?
