Description

This organism was observed on a mountain trail in East Tennessee. This organism was identified as a Southern Bluet. A Southern Bluet is classified as a Forb/Herb and is an Angiosperm. A Southern Bluet is native to the United States and is predominantly found in the Southeast. It was observed approximately halfway up the side of the Mountain. Its Binomial name is Houstonia Micrantha.

Description

This observation was made along the Tennessee River Walk in Chattanooga, Tennessee. White Grub Larvae are the infantile forms of Scarabs. They are fairly large and cream colored with an amber head. They are commonly referred to as Lawn Grubs. They are pests because they feast on the roots of plants, therefore not allowing the plants to obtain water. They are in the class Hexapoda and the family Scarabaeidae. This organism is an invertebrate.
