20cm long salt water millipede-type invertebrate among mussels in the inter-tidal zone at Freyburg Beach, Wellington. ? Eulalia.

Description

A mass of hundreds of pearl white eggs approx 1mm each in size on the east side of a pinus radiata trunk. Elevation approx 300m above sea level on Johnstone's Hill. No sign of web, insect hole, faeces etc nearby. Presumably from an insect.
