I spotted many of these whiptail lizards at the el Paso zoo. they are in the trail leading to the volunteer office. Many times you can just here them rustling in the plants. But sometimes you can see them run across the sidewalk.

This bird was found at the rose garden and was very curious by us. He flew around us multiple times. It was a small bird with a red chest. It had a beautiful tone to its singing.

This squirrel was found at memorial park just laying on the Rockwall under a tree. He did not seemed disturbed by us sitting only feet away. He was laying flat on his stomach adand was about a foot in legnth. He then went into a hole in the ground after people approached.

This plant looks like a mix between an agave and a Yucca. It grew up to two feet and had a length of around four feet. It was a darker green color and low to the ground. It was also found on the ron coleman trail.

This lizard had the spots not the checkers. It was running under some bushes away from me. it was about half a foot in length o stay out and was probably trying to stay out of the sun.

This lizard looks very similar to the collared lizard but it lacks the collar. It was going across the trail probably to reach some shade. It was hot outside and the sun was out with no clouds. The lizard was about a half foot in length.

It was at sunset and the bat flew out of the neighborhood and towards the desert area behind the park. It was a fairly small bat but it showed signs of being a big free-tailed bat.

There was a desert cottontail crossing the street to get into my neighborhood. It was very fast trying to avoid traffic. it was about a half of foot in length. It seemed to be alone even when I went back to see if I could try and get a picture of it.

It was laying on a rock but when I moved to take a picture it ran from the rock. It looked like it was trying to stay cool on the rock. It had a distinct collar which led me to believe it was a collared lizard. It was about 1/2 a foot in length.

This hawk was flying over an area in the franklin mountains. It was travelling therefore I was unable to capture a picture of it. it had a long wingspan that allowed it to soar and let the wind carry it.
