A deciduous tree that grows 60-80 feet in height. The diameter is 2-3 ½ feet and the leaves are 3-6 inches long with double toothed veins. The top of the leaf is a dark green, mostly smooth and the underside is a pale green. The base of the leaf is asymmetrical. The bark of the tree is dark gray and with deep furrows. This tree produces red flowers in the spring before the leaves appear. The fruits are 3/8-1/2 inches long that grow in clusters and have thin wings.

This deciduous tree grows 60-80 feet tall and a diameter of 1-2 ½ feet. The leaves are 3-7 inches long, green and glossy on the top of them and a pale green, non-glossy underside. In the fall, the leaves turn a beautiful red color. This tree produces acorns for reproduction and takes 2 years to mature. The acorns grow either in pairs or by themselves and are ½-1 inch long and about 5/8 inches wide. The Bark of the tree is gray to dark gray to dark brown and has smooth vertical lines.

American Sycamore is a deciduous tree that grows 60-100 feet in height and 2-6 feet in diameter. They have a straight trunk and a crown of 50-80 feet wide. The bark is flaky, white brown in color giving them a camouflage look. Many times the tree is planted for erosion control. People also use this hardwood to make furniture and flooring.

Slow growing conifer tree with short flat needles. Can grow up to 160 feet in height and 6-7 feet in diameter. It can take 250-300 years for the tree to mature. Provides food and shelter to many species especially in the winter. It is also a habitat for some rare plant species. Native Americans used the bark for medicinal purposes.

Sugar Maple is the most common maple tree in New York State. It has one of the most aesthetic values of all trees in NYS. It is also known for it's maple syrup production. Height is common between 70-100 feet but some are found to be larger. Diameter 2-3 feet.
