Description

A perennial observed with slender stems and sometimes as a scrambling bush. Reaches heights of 4 m, more often 1-2 m. Leaves are 4-12 cm.

Often found along paths near water-sources (it flourishes in marsh-like environments) backyards, and edges of fields.

It has red berries that flourish into egg shaped bodies with copious amounts of green seeds. When crushed, the leaves and bark leave a foul odor.

Slightly toxic: Known for the death of livestock and in rare cases, children that eat a fair amount of the bright red berries.
