Species found via visual searching of the area by Turkey Creek. Species identified via "A Field Guide to Reptiles & Amphibians: Eastern and Central North America". Outside it was a cool and cloudy day. It had rained the night before so the forest floor was moist. Specimen found swimming in Turkey Creek and was captured and photographed. Specimen was not aggressive and attempted to hide beneath the surface of the creek. Juvenile specimen.

Species found via visual searching of the area and was sighted four unique times throughout the day. Species identified by Cassidy Johnson of the Houston Zoo. Outside it was a cool and cloudy day. It had rained the night before so the forest floor was moist. Cricket frogs generally found near body of water or amongst moist leaves and attempted to flee and hide when approached. One other photo taken at GPS coordinates Lat: 30.470108 Long: -94.346389. Photos not taken and GPS coordinates not recorded for other two specimens.

Species found via visual searching of the trail. Identification provided by Cassidy Johnson of the Houston Zoo. Toad found hopping on the side of the trail on a cool , cloudy day amongst leaves.

Snakes (Suborder Serpentes)Observer

Species found via visual searching, leading to discovery of skin. One other confirmed live western cottonmouth sighting by another group at unknown coordinates by Turkey Creek. Identification of snake skin based on web pictures of western cottonmouth compared to skin and information provided by Cassidy Johnson of the Houston Zoo. Snake skin found across the trail approximately 3/4 of a mile from creek. Outside conditions were cool and cloudy after rain the previous night. Live snake found on the bank of Turkey Creek at approximately noon.
