First turtle of the road crossing season.

Male. Found dead on the ground.

Another victim of "is that a window?" syndrome. It'd obviously been there a couple of days when I found it (as you can see, it's missing the eyes and been rained on a couple of times).

Approximately 1 cm long

Possibly a sparrow? It's not a chickadee, but I can't find another bird with a black head and bib and white cheeks. Feel free to point me in the right direction.

Poor thing fought a window and lost. Interestingly, this one doesn't have the red tips- I.D.'d it through the tail and the belly (mostly the tail).

Adult Male House Finch

See this pop up in the yard every year but I've never been able to ID it.

Female, male has been seen at same feeder also (I'll try to get a shot of it).

Unsure of sex. Anyone able to enlighten me?

I've always wondered what the name of this flower is and now I know.

Some of the little spinners got knocked off early by the cold snap yesterday.

Two females (didn't get a good picture of the other one). Saw a whole flock ~1/2 mile down the road a month back.

Male, not the best picture but still identifiable. The one blocked by the blind is a cardinal.

Found in backyard. To my knowledge no one for several miles keeps guineafowl and they escape pretty frequently, so I'm acting under the assumption that this one is living wild.

Male. Found it dead, now it's in my collection.

Leopard frog. He's such a little cutie...

It's there, I promise... Flew off before I could get a closer picture. Better luck next time, I guess.
