Today, in the midst of a group of ibis, I noticed 2 banded birds. The first bird was sporting many bands! On the top of his left leg was a red/green band. On the bottom of his left leg, he was wearing a silver band. On his lower right leg, he had a black band.
Not to be outdone.... there was another ibis with a band. However, he was more moderately dressed. ;) He only had a single yellow band on his right leg.

She (or he!) was wearing three bands. On her left leg, she had a red/green band. On the same leg, at the bottom, was a silver band. She sported a black band on her left left. It looked black, at least!

Twice today I saw this lovely bird! She (he?) is wearing three tags! On the right leg, there's what appears to be either a black or dark blue tag. On the left leg, by the joint, is a red/green tag and at the "ankle" is a silver tag. On both occasions, she was in the company of approximately 35 other ibis. They were eating with three Muscovy ducks in my backyard.
