Flock of 11 flying in circles and landing in poplars then pines - much raucous noise and acrobatic activity. Sulphur-crested cockatoos had been seen only occasionally in Pigeon Bay but small population known in Prices Valley and from time to time seen in Port Levy.

Kereru hanging upside down feeding on kowhai flowers. Earlier in the day a male bellbird flew into a kereru that was feeding in this tree, hitting it on the head on 3 occasions, as well as perching above it giving repeaded alarm calls. At one stage the kereru lunged back at the bellbrd.
