Southeastern Yellow-shafted Flicker (Colaptes auratus ssp. auratus)Observer
trisha5Description
Found digging in the lawn early this morning. Audubon says they like ants, so he's in the right place. Sorry for photo quality, I was fighting my cats for a good view of him...they were pretty excited to see a woodpecker, too, but I think they had slightly different motives. He did leave me this cool feather, though, so he has been back.
