About 1.5 inches long, it started to crawl out after a light drizzle started.
Like all slugs, it left a trail of slim and was very cautious, using its appendages to test out an area before moving.

Red Admiral (Vanessa atalanta)Observer
xiaoyewangDescription
The wing span from the top wing to the bottom wing was about 3.5 cm and the wingspan across the entire butterfly was about 5-6 cm.
I believe that it's a red admiral butterfly with a scientific name (Vanessa atalanta)
When it lands on a surface, whether it be a vertical or horizontal one, it likes to straighten up and flex its wings, periodically closing and opening them.
