I am a naturalist newly moved to Gland, Switzerland from Seattle Washington. I am one of 5 co-founders of the Natural History Network (naturalhistorynetwork.org), an organization dedicated to supporting the practice of natural history and I am a professor of Natural History in the department of Biology at the University of Washington. I am now the Director of the Luc Hoffmann Institute, where we focus on linking global scientific talent with global conservation progress. My interests in biodiversity and natural history is global, and most of my research has focused on conservation and plant-animal interactions.
