We visited Anan Bay on 7 August 2007, it is a great spot although fairly difficult to get to. We saw brown bears early in the morning and then black bears, all catching salmon, which are coming up the creek to spawn.

This is one of the largest spawning areas for Pink salmon or humpback salmon, Oncorhynchus gorbuscha
Unfortunately some salmon did not make it past the bears
