Description

I think there are three possible species that this bee could be. Bombus bifarius seems most likely; B. melanopygus and B. sylvicola seem like other possibilities. Bombus bifarius can be distinguished from the other two by a black triangle on the thorax that points to the abdomen, which I think is visible but partly obscured by whatever leaves are in the way in this photo.
