Description

BW report confirmed.
On Selkirk College grounds, along running trail near the porcupine grass site. Most of population is above the trail in gently sloping open area with deeper soil, some of it is in shade of lodgepole pine trees. Moisture receiving area above inundation zone on river.
Scattered population of 100 + plants, in open area, just beginning to flower.
Knapweed present.
With ponderosa pine, black cottonwood, choke cherry, saskatoon, oregon grape, agronomic and weedy (Poa compressa, Bromus tectorum) grasses, porcupine grass, small forget-me-not, silky lupine, yarrow, ballhead waterleaf, upland larkspur.
