Most of the body was hidden behind the "zipper" of the web but the yellow markings did show through. The legs were black at the distal ends and pinkish near to the body. The spider's body was approximately 3/4 of an inch from top to bottom. She had her web in an ideal spot back from a walking trail a few feet and sheltered among trees and briars.
