Description

Down in an old-growth Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii). The P. menziesii was recently fallen within the year and the specimen was inside the bark in a pocket that was in the new broken layer. Up on the hill from the waterfall. Elevation 3490 feet. Noted Species: Bracken Fern (Pteridium aquilinum), Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata), Western Hemlock (Tsuga heterophylla), Huckleberry (Vaccinum membranaceum), Devil's Club (Oplopanax horridus), and Oregon Grape (Mahonia nervosa).
