What

Plateau Agalinis (Agalinis edwardsiana)

Observer

Date

Description

Co-occurs with A. heterophylla at Doeskin Ranch. The present species is more abundant; it is characteristic of the steeper, shallow-soiled Glen Rose terrain, while A. heterophylla more typically occurs in deeper soils in lower areas--but that's not a hard and fast rule. The length of the petioles is a quick way to separate the two species. Compare with: http://www.inaturalist.org/observations/1560341
