This was one of 8-10 of these frogs I found around the perimeter of Platt Pond. Every one of them had the same fairly uniform tan coloration and this was a particularly large individual. SVL was probably about 3 cm. It was located 10-15 feet from the water's edge clinging to the side of a very wet log. The frog was completely motionless and remained motionless even as I tried to flip the log. I then noticed it and took a picture of it. It seemed to be relying upon its camouflage to protect it, and it was quite effective. Most of the Acris I also encountered at this pond were detected by their movement. All of them were some distance from the water on the muddy banks, but I do not know if they also inhabited the water's edge because it was inaccessible to me due to tall reeds and mud.
Notes: The pond was home to at least one very large feral pig and the entire area around it had obviously been churned up by pigs.
