Observed on track near Pont, Gran Paradiso National Park, at 2,000m.

It was passed over by a car as we watched, and remained on the track. It survived, stunned. It was picked up and placed back on the side to avoid being permanently squished.

It had a relatively long tail and white whiskers. Soft, thick fur. Shame.
