This turtle was basking along with several other texana and scripta on branches along Shoal Creek. This was the first day I saw more than a couple of turtles out at this creek, and I think it is due to the several days of consistently warm weather we have had.
Note: The middle turtle in these photos is probably not a cooter. But diagnostic markings of Pseudemys texana can be seen on both the turtle on the left and the turtle on the right.
