This is the native balloon vine of the Lower Rio Grande Valley, the host plant for Silver-banded Skipper. Only the "balloon" fruits are readily visable. The vine was growing over some Solanum plants, which constitute most of the foliage you see in the images. The plant had been pointed out to me the previous day at the NABA Butterfly Park.
