That morning I woke up with a thump. I got up, looked around and saw nothing out of the ordinary: sun shining, no wind. But later, I found something very sad, which was the cause of the thump. This bird flew into our window, and unfortunately, died. There were other in the area, and this tragedy motivated us to put black paper birds on the windows so no more birds die. A few days late a robin flew into the window, but thankfully did not die.
