I was walking down a dirt road and hear a squeel. As I get closer to the place where I heard the noise, I see a ball of snake and rat tumble out of the shin oaks. Finding that I don't have my camera, I rush inside to get it. When I return, the rat is dead but still in the snakes coils. I get off one shot before the snake gets scared and "runs" off. I tried to back away to encourage it to finish its meal but it doesn't look back. Since I don't think it is coming back, I go take pictures of the rat (next observation). After taking the pictures, I left it there in hopes that the bullsnake would return. Unfortunately, I don't think it ever did.
