This interestingly plumaged immature Buteo was soaring with an adult Red-tailed Hawk. I am thinking this must be an immature dark-morph Red-tailed Hawk or perhaps a Harlan's race Red-tailed Hawk as I can't turn into into some other species, but any comments on this bird are welcome. The shots were taken sort of against the sun so the light is shining through the wings more than a normal view might show. Anyway, I thought it was a cool looking bird.
