P. bleph. are the most commonly found orchid species at Cricenti Bog. There are several hundred flowering-sized plants scattered throughout the sphagnum bog; flowering season begins first week of July and peaks first week of August.

Number of visible flowering-sized plants has significantly increased over the last decade, based on personal observations since early 1990s.
