Description

110 American Crow

c. 35 minutes, 10°F, Cloudy, Calm.
07:45 50+ crows flying east high overhead
07:45-07:55 45+ more crows
07:55-08:00 5 more crows (also a few were heard crossing the lake further north)
(08:00-08:15) unknown
08:15-08:25 6 more crows.

Total: more than 110 crows flying from NY State, east to Vermont, across Lake Champlain.
I was alerted to the flight by the calls of a nearby local crow family.
Crows were following the same route as large wintering crow flocks viewed many times in previous years;
and the same route as the few crows making a daily commute across the lake throughout each year.
