Male Trithemis festiva

Right outside the guesthouse/cottage I was staying in was a small temporary pond, some rivulets and a marsh.

I got up early one morning and there was a farmer plowing his land while morning fog was still present, gigantic mountains in the background. This was one of the most peaceful places I think I had ever been and there was lots of dfly activity. I was going to go to head up nearby mountain to some waterfalls but had a hard time pulling away (eventually I did though, and you'll later see why I was glad I did).

Despite being surrounded by bright pink and blue and orange and exotic-looking dragonflies, this male Trithemis festiva was quite captivating to me.
