Description

One egg in a very slightly scooped-out sand nest.

You can't really see my glasses in this shot (tip of frame visible in lower left of image), but this egg was about the same size as the egg of the Plover in the previous observation, and rather similar in markings and overall color, however, this egg was quite a bit more round in shape.

I was dive-bombed by the mother tern, but I was wearing a hat, so no possibility of scalp damage.
