This caecilian was observed near Cerro Osa, Península de Osa, Costa Rica during a strong rainfall. The observation was made by Esmeralda Arévalo, Erick Ballestero, Héctor Zumbado, Víctor Acosta and other biology students from the Universidad de Costa Rica.
