This little fluffball was sitting in mulch beds right by my door as I came in with the dog one afternoon. They stared at each other and the dog lunged, but I stopped it. Towhee fluttered off into some bushes. Later Dad showed up to offer it what looked like a berry, then worms. They both wandered off back into the neighbor's yard.
