Male Libellula vibrans

I went down near Houston to visit @alaws and @legolaws, check out the UHCC and unintentionally behead grasshoppers while trying to free them from their leashes (Angela needed them to stay within a certain radius). Kind of like my own life.

There was a lot of really nice stuff out there and I hope to go back again soon. In two days, sampling the area around midday (bring more water) for a few hours (second day with Eric as well) I saw 17 species of dragonflies and surprisingly just two species of damselflies. I only searched for adults.
