Eastern Red Bat (Lasiururs borealis), roosting in a narrow leaf willow (Salix exigua interior). He was a rusty red color, small almost unnoticeable ears, and tiny little black beady eyes. After waking up and noticing we were near him, he flew off.

Habitat description: A large thicket of narrow leaf willows adjacent to a small farm pond. On the edge of a recently sprayed and mowed CRP field.
