ID please? Found this growing in an successional meadow area near the tip of Sandy Hook (barrier beach community). It was an erect, sparsely branched shrub ~1 m hi. Haven't been able to key it out thru my wildflower guide. There is Coast Guard housing nearby, so I can't rule out an escaped ornamental -- maybe cherry? But it doesn't really look the cultivars I'm seeing. Blooming very early (before the Beach Plum). I have other shots, if it would help.
