I missed the big Spotted Salamander migration on Sunday evening, because I was out of town. Rain was forecast for late Mon night/Tues AM, so I went out to see if any salamanders would be moving after the rain started. No luck on the salamanders -- maybe it was too late at night, or the rain didn't soak thru the leaf litter, or any that were so inclined had already gone the night before. But I did see a nice variety of frogs -- American Bullfrog (above), New Jersey Chorus Frog, Northern Spring Peeper, & Pickerel Frog (didn't get a shot of that one).
