This willow was seen in the riparian zone at Banias Falls, not far from the Syrian-Israeli Demilitarised Zone. This small tree was about five meters high, with leaves measuring around ten cm and leaf width of about 12 mm. I had help in identifying this Salix from the sign along the trail; however, the field diagnostics do match the literature description of this small tree well.
