I'm guessing on the species ID...any correction appreciated. I was on a family tour of the "old jail" in St. Augustine, Florida, when a lady in line nearby screamed and I saw this glass lizard moving across the sidewalk about the get stomped on by panic-stricken tourists. I caught the lizard and explained to the folks that it was harmless. I asked my wife to hold it so I could take a few snapshots. The lizard became the star of the show which did not make the official tour leader very happy. Lizard was released in a brushy area off the edge of the parking lot.
