Texas prickly pear is common in the drier areas of South and Central Texas.
Referred to as the Texas Bindweed,(Convolvulus equitans), this wildvine is characterized by it's tiny size and pink center.It lives in sandy and rocky soils, ands it's a vine that wraps itself around weeds and shrubs, sometimes killing them by shutting out light. Annual or perennial, and is also a member of the Morning Glory Family.
Commonly referred to as the Silverleaf Nightshade, this is one of the most common wildflowers in Central Texas. My favorite aspect of the plant is the stem that extends out past the yellow buds, because it has a green tip on the end of it. I just think that's pretty cool.
