407,298 Observations

Thank you to everyone who continues to add to this project. It has grown so much since its creation so many years ago all thanks to your hard work. At the time of this post our project has 407,298 observations! Amazing!

Let's try something new. I'd like to challenge you to search out and create new observations for two particular species this month: the pale pitcher plant (Sarracenia alata) and flowering dogwood (Cornus florida).

I'm curious to see if we can drive engagement in the project by creating challenges.

Happy trekking!

Thanks,
Michelle D.

Checking In

Hi all!

In case you were wondering if this project is still active, yes it is! I've been checking on it from time to time and am delighted to see that the number of observations continues to grow! Thank you for participating and for adding observations in my absence. Keep them coming!

New Project

I've created this project to compile the observations of flora and fauna in Mississippi. Mississippi is home to a diverse array of species, and it seems that no such project existed prior to this one. Needless to say I'm excited to begin a project to document the biodiversity of Mississippi! Join me in recording the flora and fauna that call Mississippi home!
