The koala is now a threatened species and vulnerable to extinction in three Australian States. We need your help to conserve these iconic Australian animals. The first step is working out where they still live.
Contribute your photographs of koalas along with the dates and locations where you observed them - the map shows an outline of the area we are focusing on.
Your observations will form part of Science for Wildlife’s research program to identify areas where koalas exist and to prioritise habitats for conservation.
If you want to report a koala sighting but keep the location private, for example if it's in your own backyard, look under the map when you go to add observations, and you can set the Geoprivacy option to "obscured" or "private" - then only we can see the exact location.
