This is a citizen science project started by Spring 2016 Wildlife Ecology students at Community College of Vermont (CCV)-Bennington.

The site is a 14 acre rural urban interface location, and is an ongoing restoration project involving the Town of Bennington, US Fish & Wildlife, other organizations, and volunteers.

Basic species inventories are being conducted by CCV's Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Biology classes in order to help determine whether the wetlands are recovering from degradation of this important habitat.
