The Cape May County Natural History project aims to share sightings from hikes, walks, bike rides, backyards, class trips, camping trips, Trail cameras, or any other nature-watching opportunities. This project is a fun way to connect the community through an appreciation of natural history. Observations can include plants, animals (alive or dead), and tracks/sign (a ruler is helpful for this class of observation). Don't know what species it is? That's fine too, add the tag "ID please" and the community will try to provide an identification. For species with special conservation status or threatened by persecution (Bald eagle, black bear, bobcat, etc.) please obscure the exact location. *If the animal is problematic, contact the appropriate wildlife officials.
