Geographic Range

This species is known only from the Serra de Maranguape, in the State of Ceará, north-eastern Brazil, at 800-900m asl.

It is abundant in certain parts of its small range and is regularly recorded.

Habitat

This is a diurnal species that lives in the leaf-litter of primary and secondary forest, and has also been found in bamboo and banana plantations, as well as forest fragments (but not open habitats). It is a direct developer, and the eggs are probably laid on the ground.
