Trip Notes

We faced stormy weather in San Diego on the morning of the trip so we decided to go where there was sun and find some desert wildflowers. Along that route we found many species of flowers, plus some nice beetles, a scorpion and bivalve fossils.
We then made out way towards the coast and stopping at an inland reservoir where we found a handful of gull species and other birds. Fungi and chaparral plants were there for us too.
Ending the day at the beach was cut short due to misty wind but there were things to find in the estuary and nearby park.
A few attendees decided not to take the trip because of the weather but we did stay dry and found many interesting fauna and flora despite the rain around the county on the day.
