We saw a Leatherback Sea Turtle about 16 miles 260 degrees west of Westport, WA. USA. The water temp. was 56.8 degrees. The turtle was swimming westbound sort of doing the breast stroke, with each slow stroke his head would go underwater then pop up again and look around. The shell was like a quilted surface (no spots), looking prehistoric. The shell was approx 4 x 6 and he appeared to have a wing span of 6'-7' as he swam directly under our boat. (research identified this turtle as a male)
