Geographic Range

This species is known only from the type locality on the east slope of Abra Chinchillo, 42 km north of Balsas, Chachapoyas Province, Region of Amazonas, Peru, at 2,870 m asl. Its distribution is not well understood, and it might occur more widely.

It appears to be a rare species given that only four individuals were found over 30 person/days in 2006-2007 (von May et al. 2008).

It was recorded from disturbed cloud forest. It appears to be a terrestrial species that breeds by direct development.
