Geographic Range

This species is known only from the type locality, 10.8 km west of Huancapallac at 2,950 m asl, in the eastern part of the Cordillera Central, Province of Huánuco, Region of Huánuco, Peru (Lehr 2007).

Habitat

Nothing is known about the species' natural history. It is presumed to breed by direct development.

Population

The species is known only from seven specimens which comprise the type series, collected in 1969. No new surveys have been conducted in the type locality or surrounding area (von May et al. 2008, E. Lehr pers. comm. March 2013).

Threats

It is possible that deforestation due to agriculture and cattle breeding, as well as associated pollution, may be occurring in the general area where this species occurs (E. Lehr pers. comm. March 2013). However, given the lack of recent surveys, it is not known whether and to what extent these potential threats could be impacting on this species and its habitats.
